Travel Lookbook: Renz of The Traveling Nomad

I know quite a few people who work in the airline industry but not someone who authorizes the departure and arrival of an aircraft. Everyone, meet Renz of The Traveling Nomad, a Biology degree-holder from Davao who is also a certified trendsetter. We first met while on a trekking activity with some of our travel blogger friends and I must say he’s a real charmer.

Have a look at our Traveling Geek’s usual get-up at work and, of course, while traveling.

I work as an Air Traffic Controller. My job requires me to maintain the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic. I give clearances to both departing and arriving aircraft, when and/or where to commence climb, descend, right, or left turn. Some of our big bosses require us to report in some facilities in smart casual attire. I usually wear long sleeves, khaki pants, and my brown oxford shoes.

Whenever I’m in the beach, or anything that involves water activities such as rivers, and pools, I usually wear board shorts, flip flops, and a shirt. I also wear my favorite Ray-Ban aviator shades to protect my eyes from the harmful rays of the sun.

And did you know that Renz is often mistaken as the footballer Anton del Rosario? Go figure. 🙂
