I don’t own a gold mine.
And with that being said, it’s probably obvious that I work really hard even on the verge of getting sick to earn big―something I can use to help my family, pay the bills, and of course, gratify my own needs and wants which includes traveling.
If you have been a regular reader of this blog (oh geez I forgot that I lost all of my previous posts due to my I-deleted-the-database-of-my-site-and-I-did-not-know-it-meant-losing-all-the-contents moment), you should know by now that I am not a fan of any travel packages since I find them way expensive compared to having your own itinerary wherein you know where every cent of your money goes. I am all about not going beyond the budget.
And because Christmas spirit is just within the corner, it suddenly made me miss my family and how I wish I can give them even just a short holidayvacation. I’m sorry, I get a bit emotional when it comes to my mom and siblings as I don’t get to see them much often nor tell them how I badly miss them.
For a big group of travelers, packages may work. We can, for a moment, dismiss the thoughts that all-inclusive packages are indeed overpriced. Searching for inexpensive yet decent lodges, haggling for discounts, and doing research about the place you are about to visit require a lot of work and time. If you are the type who’s paid by the hour, it means losing money. People who don’t get the chance to travel that much always rely on these businesses and the convenience they offer. There are agencies that can get you as far as possible with reasonable rates. I know there are, you just have to be positive in trying to find one. If your patience runs out, then you can always go back to the DIY trips.
I am not contradicting myself and all. Just like what I said, my family means a lot to me so if it implies paying more for less hassle, then so be it. All that I am saying is, if you happen to feel so lazy doing all the organizing, you can give these travel agencies offering budget holidays vacation a shot.
And here, lemme paint a picture of how I want the vacation to be.
