EBC Day 5: Deboche to Dingboche

The past night had been the coldest to date. If not for the sleeping bag that was provided to us by our trekking agency, Adventure Mountain Explore Treks (AME Treks), I should be dead by now due to hypothermia. And though I felt better, I still woke up to a news that Doc Rhoda felt she wasn’t fit enough to continue with the trek and that she wished to just stay in Deboche for another day. Mountaineering or Trekking?

During our trek to the base camp of Annapurna in September 2013, the members of our group The Himalayas Project learned that we have been using the term mountaineering the wrong way. Malas ka, Malacca!

While looking for spots to visit in Malaysia that are not in Kuala Lumpur yet not so distant from the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), I stumbled upon Malacca or Melaka in Malay in some of my friends’ blog posts. Since it is listed as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and I am aiming to visit as many as I could, I was very eager to see and experience the third smallest state of the Malaysian Peninsula.
